River Valley Riders enriches the lives of children and adults with special needs by providing equine-assisted services, including therapeutic horseback riding and carriage driving lessons. Our program helps participants gain self-confidence and self-esteem, build strength, improve balance and hand-eye coordination, while forming meaningful relationships.

Due to safety concerns for the rider, volunteers and horse, the rider’s weight and balance may limit participation and hour for riding. Due to safety concerns for the rider/driver and following PATH Intl. recommendations, the minimum age to participate is 4 years old.

Participants/families who have been accepted into 2022 programming and received a bill - please click the "Pay Lesson Fees" buttom and select the amount from your invoice. Payment accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

RVR offers partial scholarships in an effort to make equine-assisted services more affordable for participants who would benefit from the program. Scholarships are based on financial need. For more infomation and Scholarship Application.
